Album Back-Story

Why the name Prophet’s Call? In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 1 and verse 5, God told Jeremiah that He called him from the womb. He said, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Does this mean that God calls every person to a specific calling before they are even born?

We studied the Biblical prophets and found that they were leaders and advisors, many advising kings about wars and about things that they were doing that displeased God. Some prophets were not very popular.

The Prophet’s Call album is a call to worship, a call to acknowledge the gifts and calling that God has put within every person, and a call to take back the territory that has been lost. And it is a call to press in and keep pressing in until you are victorious.

The album cover is a profile of a face with a glow behind the mouth, indicating that God can call anyone – and seems to delight in calling those who don’t know much about what they are called to do – but it is His glory which empowers and speaks through us.

Why a Donkey?

We adopted the donkey image as a visual representation of Music for the Christian Warrior for an earlier album. Why a donkey? In the book of Numbers, chapter 22, God reprimands Balaam by allowing his donkey to speak to him prophetically because he ignored the warning of the prophet that God sent. We simply wanted to remind ourselves that, while God prefers to use His people, He can use any method He desires to get His message across. This was our semi-humorous way of remembering that it is God who gives us voice.

The Lord Is In This House

by Chandra & Jim Hronchek, Norma & Gary Pearson, Mark Fraser II | Prophet's Call

The Lord Is In This House was a collaborative effort among 5 very talented people. Mark Fraser II arranged and played keyboard, Gary and Norma Pearson, who were talented songwriters and vocalists in their own right, sang background vocals, Jim arranged and played all of the instrumental parts except keyboards, as well as singing background vocals, while Chandra sang the lead part and backgrounds. They all participated in developing this beautiful song.

LYRICS

Verse 1
This is a house where God is known
Upon our praise He makes His throne
The Lord is in this place
Shining on the faces of His people.

Verse 2:
We honor Him with hands upraised
And sing to Him sweet songs of praise.
As we look upon His face,
We tell of all the glory we behold, we behold.

Bridge:
We behold His eyes, flames of fire
Burning through the shadows of our souls;
We behold His voice, waves of thunder
Calling us to fellowship,
Calling us to be with Him alone.

Verse 3:
The Lord is here for fellowship.
As we draw near, His glory manifests.
The Lord is in this house,
The Lord is in this house,
The Lord is in this house
And we give Him honor and praise,
Honor and praise,
Honor and praise,
Honor and praise.
