Morning comes with the rising light
The stirring of earth shows God’s glory
But it’s hard to enjoy when I look at my heart
Perfection is very far from me
I had stolen and lied for a penny
But to prove what? I never could see
Other wrong I would do just to say,
“ I did it too”
But no gain came at all, just the memory

Oh, but just to forget and not even regret
Would release me to walk on again
I could walk on anew as if nobody knew
That my footprints were covered with sin

Faith in God makes a man much rewarded
But a young man am I

I asked, “Father, I need your provision,
A healing for my family
But before He could give it,
I had gone out to get it
Impatience destroyed my belief

But my faith wasn’t yet
to the point it would get
With instruction and God’s revelation
And I found lack of faith is
For a king-priest in God’s holy nation
