The Lord’s Prayer: …Amen. Matthew 6:13
I studied under an orthodox Jewish man who made quite an impact on my life because he was so generous in sharing information about various Jewish traditions. He often asked me to learn Jewish folk music in the Klezmer style to play for the other students and for some festivals. Since I am not Jewish, this was quite an honor and I fell in love with the sound of the wailing clarinet. The clarinet part for this song was not written out, but I explained to Greg what I wanted and he ad-libbed the entire clarinet part for this song. For the celebratory ending, we invited people from our church to come into the studio to help raise the level of praise.
Our Father is based on: Matthew 6:9-13
Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
